There is plenty of fatigue going around: mask fatigue, lockdown fatigue, pandemic fatigue, not to mention the original, actual, physical fatigue that weighs down body and soul. One fatigue that cropped up in 2021 is “Patience Fatigue.”

At the beginning of the COVID crisis, we were all in shock and took each new blow accordingly. Then, we worked together (separately) with the mantra that everyone faced new and unique struggles. We waited with surprising patience through shipping troubles, missed commitments, and items delivered on longer timelines. …

“We have broken apart the Einsteinium space time continuum and made time the only important variable. That is a gift of COVID to civilization going forward.” — Neil deGrasse Tyson

As a huge geek of all things time, this was a mic-drop-boom moment for me while watching his interview on a late-night talk show. I don’t often watch “late night” because, well, late. But my family and I caught this on a streaming platform. This statement first blew me away then, as is the custom, I thought, “What does this mean for businesses? For print? For connecting?”

Let’s back up…

Or, “By teaching, we learn.”

I’ve been studying time, balance, and productivity for many years. The last two of which you’ve indulged my tips, suggestions, and discovered “hacks.”

With each topic, I’ve reached out to leaders for their advice, pulled from my experience, and asked Google plenty.

In going over the publication, “Speaking of Time,” the most popularly read is “To-Do Time” which goes over tips and examples of effective list creation and implementation. My favorite is the take-aways from Ben Franklin’s daily list.

It’s no surprise how many times I, as a printer, refer to Ben Franklin’s wisdom. Notice…

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation each year hosts a fabulous event, the Be Beautiful, Be Yourself Fashion Show. At this year’s event on November 14th, we’re going to celebrate. We’re going to cry. We’re going to push forward.

I’m the mother of an adult with Down syndrome. There’s so much that I want to tell you, I hardly know where to begin…

Shall I start with 2020 and Covid? Of how scared I am…I fear the possibility that my very breath can bring in a virus that kills people with Down syndrome at 10x the rate of the typical population…

Amanda Booth, supermodel and social influencer, was presented the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award on November 2, 2019, by Quincy Jones at the annual Be Beautiful, Be Yourself event hosted by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

Amanda and her husband, Mike Quinones, have used their platforms to openly share their journey as parents, their joys and struggles, with a strong focus on acceptance for their son, Mikah, and all people with Down syndrome.

Mikah is too young to walk the runway, however, he did join his mother on the pre-event red carpet for several press interviews.

Amanda believes that…

Megan Bomgaars’ rise to stardom began with a high school speech entitled, “Don’t Limit Me!” From there she joined the Emmy Award-winning reality show, “Born this Way” after which she launched a clothing line, “Megalogy.” Following this, she partnered with ArtPop Cosmetics creating and promoting custom lipstick colors and brand. An impressive line of accomplishments, especially for a 26-year-old, and she shows no sign of slowing down.

Most recently Megan accepted the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award at the annual Be Beautiful, Be Yourself Gala Fashion Show event hosted by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. “This award recognizes those who…

Wouldn’t it be great if we could make time? How many times have you heard or thought, “I’ll just have to make the time.” Make time? How is that even possible?

Of course, the future is promised to no one, but we do make choices every day that have consequences and affect the amount of time we get in the long run. Even in the short run, our energy, mind power, and general mood are affected by the way we treat our body and mind. Similar to “takes money to make money,” it also “takes time to make time.” …

I love this quote, because it sums up the wasted time issue in a nutshell. Of all our regrets, wasted time is probably the most preventable. Wasting time can come in many forms including succumbing to bad habits, not revising bad decisions, or simply not planning ahead. Today we’re going to look at a few bad habits that steal time from us.

Briefly, let me clarify what is not wasting time: true self-care, learning/training ourselves and others, and the moments that charge and refuel us. Truly, even menial tasks are only a “waste of time” if you’re not getting value…

People often think of saving time like saving money. However, unlike money, you can’t save time for later. Unfortunately, there’s no magic or scientific way (yet) to tuck a few seconds from a minute or a few minutes from the hour off into a safe place. No, you get the same amount of time every day as every other living being on this planet. So instead, sometimes “saving time‚” is often about investing time. You put some time in, in hopes of a greater return later. So how can you invest your time for the best return on its value…

A publication about time management, tips, and reminders for leaders, entrepreneurs, and other humans.

Time has always fascinated me, as do words and metaphors. I quest to trick, tame, and break time like a wild stallion. But…nay.

Maybe there’s a recipe for time, practiced by the sages, hidden with the rosemary.

Ok…ok…the point is, as a mother, wife, advocate, businesswoman, author, and on and on, my means and methods for productivity come from trial and error, listening and reading, and years of obsession.

These articles contain tips I’ve learned and executed, as well as nuggets from other business leaders. When…
